Prospective Families

Welcome Families!

Focusing our first year's efforts on a small group of 6-8 children will allow us to better meet their needs physically, mentally, and social-emotionally. As a metaphor for the growth of our farm and wilderness preschool, we start with planting a seed. The first thing to grow from that seed are the roots. We will call this year's cohort, "Roots", as they set the foundation for our program and many more years to come. Why a cohort and not a class? A class indicates more of a teacher-led experience and a cohort indicates more of a group experience that's guided by a mentor. That is the model we would like to have our learners participate in and we hope the use of "learners" and "cohort" help children feel more welcome, inclusive, and curious.
