The Steam Rally is held annually in mid May. It is a collaboration between two charities; The Lancashire Mining Museum and The Lancashire Traction Engine Club.
The event takes place on the site of the Mining Museum in Astley Green, where the last surviving headgear and winding house on the whole Lancashire coalfield are still standing.
The event has been running since 2018 and, in that time, all money raised has been used to improve the Mining Museum and help educate more people about our industrial and agricultural heritage.
