This Privacy Policy explains how information belonging to users of the "LanBro" mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application") is processed. By downloading and using the Application, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. General Principle: Your Data Stays on Your Device and Local Network

LanBro performs file sharing and messaging between devices over the local network (Wi-Fi/LAN) to which you are directly connected, without uploading any data to servers or the cloud via the internet. Your sent files, chat messages, and voice notes are not stored on the Application developer's servers; this content is transferred directly from device to device, strictly between the sending and receiving devices.

2. Information We Collect and Process

2.1. Information Processed Locally for the Application's Functionality

• Device Identity and Network Information: Device name, local IP address, and Network Service Discovery (NSD) information are used to discover other LanBro devices on the same local network. This information is shared only within the local network you are connected to and is not sent to the internet.

• Encryption Keys: To ensure end-to-end encryption of chats, a cryptographic identity (key pair) is created and stored on your device. Your private key never leaves your device.

• Shared Files and Messages: Sent/received files, chat messages, and voice notes are transmitted solely between the relevant devices and stored in the local storage of the receiving device.

• SMB / Network Share Credentials: The username and password you enter for shared folders you connect to are stored only on your device (locally) and sent directly to the relevant network device (e.g., your computer/NAS); they are not shared with the developer.

2.2. Device Permissions

The Application requests certain Android permissions to perform the following functions. These permissions are activated only when the relevant feature is in use and can be revoked at any time from your device settings:

2.3. Ad Provider (Google AdMob)

The Application uses Google AdMob banner and interstitial ads as its monetization model. AdMob may process data such as Advertising ID, device/application technical information, and approximate location for ad serving and measurement purposes within the scope of Google's own privacy policy. This data processing is not under the control of LanBro and is subject to Google's privacy policy:

To manage Google's ad personalization settings at the device level, you can use the Android Settings > Privacy > Ads menu or reset/limit your Advertising ID.

3. Sharing Data with Third Parties

• Your shared files and messages are in no way shared with the Application developer or any third party; they are transmitted solely to the recipient device of your choice on the same local network.

• Within the scope of ad serving, only the limited technical data described above may be shared with Google AdMob.

• Unless required by a legal obligation, your data will not be shared with any government agency or third party.

4. Data Security

One-on-one and group chats between devices are encrypted end-to-end with AES-256/GCM; encryption keys are securely derived between devices using the ECDH key exchange protocol and do not pass through the network in plain text. Incoming file and connection requests are not processed without your confirmation, preventing unauthorized transfers.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Received files, chat history, and voice recordings are kept solely in your device's local storage. You can delete this data at any time using the deletion options within the Application or by uninstalling the Application from your device. Uninstalling the Application also deletes the encryption keys generated on the device and all local data.

6. Children's Privacy

The Application does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If we discover that the Application is being used by a child under 13 without parental/guardian consent or supervision, we recommend taking the necessary steps to remove the relevant local data.

7. User Rights

Under the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and relevant legislation, you have the right to request information about your processed data, as well as to request its correction or deletion. Since your data in LanBro is kept primarily locally on your device, you can exercise these rights directly through the Application settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. In the event of material changes, the updated policy will be published on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top of the page will be revised.

Verilerin Üçüncü Taraflarla Paylaşımı • Paylaştığınız dosyalar ve mesajlar hiçbir şekilde Uygulama geliştiricisi veya başka bir üçüncü tarafla paylaşılmaz; yalnızca aynı yerel ağdaki, sizin seçtiğiniz alıcı cihaza iletilir. • Reklam gösterimi kapsamında yalnızca Google AdMob ile, yukarıda açıklanan sınırlı teknik veriler paylaşılabilir. • Yasal bir zorunluluk olmadıkça verileriniz hiçbir devlet kurumu veya üçüncü şahısla paylaşılmaz. 4. Veri Güvenliği Cihazlar arası birebir ve grup sohbetleri, AES-256/GCM ile uçtan uca şifrelenir; şifreleme anahtarları ECDH anahtar değişim protokolü kullanılarak cihazlar arasında güvenli biçimde türetilir ve düz metin olarak ağdan geçmez. Gelen dosya ve bağlantı talepleri, siz onay vermeden işleme alınmaz; bu sayede izinsiz transferler engellenir. 5. Verilerin Saklanması ve Silinmesi Alınan dosyalar, sohbet geçmişi ve ses kayıtları yalnızca kendi cihazınızın yerel deposunda tutulur. Bu verileri, Uygulama içindeki silme seçeneklerini kullanarak veya Uygulamayı cihazınızdan kaldırarak istediğiniz zaman silebilirsiniz. Uygulamanın kaldırılması, cihazda üretilmiş şifreleme anahtarlarını ve yerel verileri de siler. 6. Çocukların Gizliliği Uygulama, 13 yaşın altındaki çocuklardan bilerek kişisel veri toplamaz. Uygulamanın 13 yaş altı bir çocuk tarafından, ebeveyn/veli izni veya gözetimi olmadan kullanıldığını tespit etmemiz hâlinde, ilgili yerel verilerin kaldırılması için gerekli adımlar atılmasını öneririz. 7. Kullanıcı Hakları 6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu (KVKK) ve ilgili mevzuat kapsamında; işlenen verileriniz hakkında bilgi talep etme, verilerin düzeltilmesini veya silinmesini isteme haklarına sahipsiniz. LanBro'da veriler öncelikle cihazınızda yerel olarak tutulduğu için bu haklarınızı doğrudan Uygulama ayarları üzerinden kullanabilirsiniz. 8. Politika Değişiklikleri Bu Gizlilik Politikası zaman zaman güncellenebilir. Önemli değişiklikler olması durumunda, güncellenmiş politika bu sayfada yayımlanacak ve sayfanın en üstündeki "son güncelleme tarihi" güncellenecektir.
