How can I reach the property from the airport?

• We recommend to take a taxi or to walk. If you take a taxi it should cost you a maximum of 150SCR. Even though it is a very very short ride, this is what most taxi drivers charge as a minimum. If you decide to walk, it will take you around 20-25 minutes to reach the accommodation, depending on how much luggage you carry.

How can I reach the property from the ferry port (Jetty)?

• We recommend to take a taxi, they are always available at the ferry port. The ride from the ferry port to La Modestie should cost 400-450SCR.

Can I use the bus to reach the property?

• Even though there is a bus stop right in front of our property, you will not be able to use the bus to reach us if you carry big luggage or suitcases with you. The bus drivers won't let you enter the bus because there is simply no space to store big luggage items.

What is the best way to get around the island?

• You can choose to take the bus or to rent a car. It mostly depends on how much time you have to spend on the island. If you only have a couple of days we highly recommend to take a car. If you have more than 5 days to spend on Praslin you could use the bus.

Can I use the bicycle to go around the island?

• Theoretically you can but we absolutely advise not to do it! It is too dangerous and not comfortable at all. The roads are very narrow at times, there is no dedicated bike lanes and crossing the island over the mountain of Valle de Mai is very hard.

Where can I rent a scooter or a motorbike?

• This is not possible on Praslin or any other island in Seychelles. Renting scooters is not permitted by law because similar to regular bikes it turned out to be very dangerous for tourists. When you see somebody driving a scooter, rest assured it must be a local.
