Lamentations 3:25-26 (CEV)
Wait Patiently for the LORD
25 The Lord is kind to everyone
who trusts and obeys him.
26 It is good to wait patiently
for the Lord to save us.
Wait upon the LORD...Let us be patient in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture...Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer...Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love...Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart...The LORD is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him; it is good to wait patiently for the salvation of the LORD...Commit your way to the LORD; be patient in His timing...In all things work to God’s own purpose, in God’s Own time...Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up...Whoever is patient in coming to anger has great understanding, but he who has a quick temper exalts folly...As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly LOVED, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience...Do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the LORD a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day...Therefore, wait upon the LORD and know He is doing His Works in His Time...
So be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!...I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry...For the revelation is a time set by our Father...Let us await on His Appointed Time; the Appointed Time speaks of the end and will not prove false...You also must be patient...Keep your hopes high, for the day of the LORD’s coming is near...You say, "I choose the appointed time; it is I who judge with equity."...He has given us proof for He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the Man He has appointed...He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead...
Bishop Fulton Sheen wrote this about patience and waiting on the LORD...“Patience is power...Patience is not an absence of action; rather it is "timing" it waits on the right time to act, for the right principles and in the right way.”...
