Lakshmi Narayanan Venkatasubramani, PhD

Research Fellow, Dublin City University

I received my Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) in Chennai, India, in 2021. I am a Research Fellow at the Radio and Optical Communications Laboratory within the School of Electronic Engineering at Dublin City University (DCU). I've been researching the implementation of optical frequency combs and fast-switching optical sources for optical-switching fabrics and high-capacity transmission within data center networks. Previously, I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at IIT Madras and DCU, where I focused on improving transmission throughput in short-reach systems. My research uses advanced signal processing schemes and novel optical devices to optimise data transmission performance.  Additionally, I was also a visiting researcher at AIPT, Aston University, Birmingham, UK.
