Kathryn Lake resides inside the 865,863 acre Chequamegon National Forest. The lake is a 62 acres with a maximum depth of close to 60 ft. Kathrine Lake supports Bluegill, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Walleye and Northern Pike. The area surrounding Kathryn Lake has many other small lakes, ATV trails, camping, hunting, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and hiking opportunities. Nearby, the Ice Age Trail passes through the National Forest.
We have recently completed a project which updates and replaces the current aerators used during the winter. In the past, the association has stocked the lake with walleye and sponsored a fishing day for Medford nursing home residents. Upcoming projects are being discussed. Suggestions welcome!
