First Annual Lake Festival! FACEBOOK EVENT
Lake Helen's League for Better Living along with Lake Helen Lake Committee invites you to join us in a celebration of our namesake's lake, Lake Helen!
9am-2pm
Exhibits featuring FWC air boat, flora and fauna of Lake Helen including Sandhill Crane exhibit, turtles exhibit, native aquatic plant exhibit, and more! Activities include canoe/kayak racing (ages 13 and up), water testing, and a fishing contest (ages 12 and under).
9am-12pm
Boat race entry fee is $15/person winner takes 50% of entry fees, other 50% goes to fund lake restoration.
Depending on number of contestants races will be run maximum of 10 boats each race. Winners of each race will compete in final race to determine winner.
10am-11am
Fishing contest entry fee is $1.00 per contestant. Winner for largest fish and smallest fish in each age bracket receive a prize.
Age brackets are:
2-4 years
5-6 years
7-10 years
11-13 years
1:30pm: Winners announced and prizes awarded
Food: Hot Dogs and Smore's
Entertainment: TBD
Lake Helen 4th of July festival! What a great time celebrating America with friends and neighbors by the side of our namesake lake!
Lake Helen Community Spring Festival! What a great time! We had "A Buck for a Duck" game for the kids and it was a great hit! We showcased future plants to be added to Lake Helen, sold t-shirts, memberships and handed out fun prizes! Now we're planning for a fabulous 4th of July celebration and getting Lake Helen fireworks ready! We'll see you at The Lake!

4th of July! Raffle! Prizes! What a fun event and raffle! We had a blast fund raising for our Lake and even had a 50/50 raffle winner who won $50.00! Congratulations!
