How to get started

Now that the morse code requirement has been dropped for all license classes, it is easier to obtain a license.  Lake Chelan Amateur Radio Club will be hosting a class at the Chelan Fire Department to help anyone wanting to get stared.

Where can I get licensed?

Operation of an amateur station requires an amateur operator license grant from the FCC. Before receiving a license grant, you must pass an examination administered by a team of volunteer examiners (VEs).

Once you are ready to take the exam, Lake Chelan Amateur Radio Club testing team can administer the test.  Pleasc contact our VE (Volunteer Examiner Coordinator) for further details for place and time.
