The Lagniappe Librarian (AKA Kelsye Baudoin) is located in the heart of Cajun Country. Kelsye is a passionate school librarian who tends to always give a little bit "extra." Kelsye is skilled in STEM education, Cross-curricular collaboration, Instructional Tools Training, Information Literacy, Programming and Event Coordination, Fundraising, Collection Development, Reader’s Advisory, Breakout EDU, and Library Displays.  She has written and received the 2021 Dollar General Literacy Grant, a Walmart Community Grant, and multiple Donors Choose Grants.  At Belle Place Elementary she is president of the Accelerated Reader Committee, L.I.T. Club Sponsor, and was named 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year at Belle Place Elementary School.

This veracious Librarian advocate is currently serving as a Louisiana Educator Advocacy Development Fellow, and LASL secretary, is a REALISD project member, a member of the Louisiana Young Reader's Choice Committee, presented at the 2021 AASL National Conference, been a guest on LASL’s President Program Webinars, the School Librarians United podcast, the Future Ready Podcast, and serves on the K-2nd Louisiana Young Readers Choice Award Committee. She is presenting at the LDOE Teacher Leader Summit in June and later this summer will be presenting in South Carolina at the International Association of School Librarians conference. Just recently, her infographics regarding School Librarians went viral getting over 22,000 views on Facebook, thousands of likes on Facebook and Twitter, as well as hundreds of shares and retweets. She was recently featured on an AASL blog and a Stand for Children LA blog as well as a Clubhouse chat with Boss Librarian & Friends.

Kelsye's biggest honor to date has been receiving the 2022 Louisiana School Librarian of the Year Award from the Louisiana Association of School Librarians in April of this year. Her future goals include:
