LA Girls Collective is more than an events page. It is a living, growing community built on the belief that women in this city deserve more than surface level connections and plans that never happen. Everything we do, every event we host, every space we create, is rooted in the same simple idea: that real friendship is worth showing up for, and that the right community can change your entire experience of a city.
The woman behind the collective
Hi, I'm Dillen!
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. This city has always been home. But when I moved back after being away for a while, I realized I was starting completely from scratch. Old connections had faded, my social circle had changed, and suddenly I was back in the city I grew up in feeling like a stranger in it.
I kept seeing posts in Facebook groups of girls saying they wanted to meet people, wanted to do things, wanted to find their community in LA. But nothing ever actually happened. The posts would get hundreds of comments and then just disappear. Everyone wanted it. Nobody was making it happen.
So I decided to just do it myself. I posted about hosting a casual park day and invited girls to come if they were looking to make friends. Over a hundred women were interested. I was not expecting that. But it told me everything I needed to know.
That park day turned into another event. And then another. And within days LA Girls Collective had a name, a following, and a purpose. What started as one afternoon in a park became a community I am incredibly proud of, and one I am only just getting started building.
The dream from the very beginning was never just about filling a calendar with events. It was about creating something real. Deep, meaningful friendships between women who actually show up for each other. A community built on the idea that women supporting women is not just a hashtag, it is a way of living. Less Instagram followers, more people you can actually call. Less surface level, more real.
That is what LAGC is. And we are just getting started.
with love,
Dillen

Dillen holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Media Theory and Strategy from Kutztown University with a minor in Psychology and Communication Studies, which means the way LAGC is built is not just intuitive, it is informed. Every event format, every community decision, and every piece of content is shaped by a genuine understanding of how people connect, why belonging matters, and what it actually takes to build something that lasts.
She is a Los Angeles native, a social media manager by trade, and a community builder by calling.
LAGC is where all three come together
What I Believe...
That every woman deserves to feel like she belongs somewhere
That real friendship require intention - it does not just happen on its own
That showing up is always worth it even when it feels scary
That community is not a luxury - it is a human need
That women supporting women is not a trend, it is the whole point
That LA is so much better when you have your girls
