Veterans' Christmas Project

Lions Monica Kinsey and Shawntina Gibson spearheaded our Veteran's Christmas Project with The Southwest Louisiana War Veterans' Home in Jennings, LA.

Using funds generously donated by the Community Foundation of Acadiana, the Lafayette LA Lions club donated and purchased toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, socks, deodorant, soap, shampoo, conditioner and puzzle books.  We delivered the 150 toiletry boxes and fresh fruit to the residents on Saturday, December 14, 2024.  We sent time talking and socializing with the residents and got an idea of their needs moving forward.  We look forward to making this a yearly tradition.
