Our Mission
Lafayette Student Y, in conjunction with the Kentucky YMCA Youth Association, seeks to develop engaged citizens and servant leaders, inspired to affect change in their school, community, Commonwealth, nation, and world. Through experiential learning, service, and community activism, the Kentucky YMCA Youth Association fosters critical thinking, leadership, and social responsiblity in teens.
What We Do
Students have the opportunity to engage in meaningful learning activities and service as a part of Student Y. Each year we attend two conferences, Kentucky Youth Assembly (KYA) and Kentucky United Nations Assembly (KUNA). These conferences allow students to discuss and debate pressing issues with people from all around Kentucky, offering programs in bill writing, moot court, lobbying, and more!
