It would have been, in my opinion, a grave mistake for Lady Gaga not to give us this new material, especially since after this we will be given a third iteration of the chorus. Notice, however, that Lady Gaga doesn't cop out and put any old melody in there; she meticulously ties it into the song rather cleverly. First, the lyrics here are identical to those in the chorus (which has the side benefit of really letting the listeners learn them so they get to belt them out alongside Lady Gaga when the climax hits), and secondly... oh, Lady Gaga, you naughty lady. You snuck that "Ooooh, caught in a bad romance" theme again into bars 113-120, didn't you? This has all the positive effects that I've already mentioned, plus they also prepare us for the 'duet singing' that we're going to be exposed to in the climax.
