Neale Pickett

Neale has been working in computer fields since 1990, at tech startups, US national laboratories, and Free Software companies. He has been working with middle- and high-school students since 2010 through the New Mexico Café Scientifique lecture program, UNM-LA's Tech Frontiers summer program, and his own Queen Of The Hill cybersecurity event.

Akkana Peck

Akkana is a longtime Linux and open source software developer. She has worked for a variety of Silicon Valley companies as well as LANL. She's been heavily involved with the GIMP and Mozilla/Firefox developer communities, and is the author of a popular book on GIMP. Shane Steinfadt

Dr. Shannon (Shane) Steinfadt is a computer scientist who worked at NASA, taught computer science for many years at Kent State University, and currently works at Los Alamos National Laboratory in cybersecurity R&D. She has mentored and worked with STEM and technology educational outreach for over ten years. Her service dog Houdini is a great companion. His reputation from his days as a shelter dog precedes him, and stories about him from others are always welcomed.
