El Mupak / La Kuzina

A great place to start a home language nest is the kitchen (el mupak/la kuzina*). Kitchens are places where we do well-defined daily activities that you can start learning to do in Ladino, and they are also often the heart of the home! (And we all love to eat.)

*Mupak and kuzina are both ways to say "kitchen" in Ladino. Mupak comes from Turkish mutfak, so it's a commonly used word in Istanbul. Many other varieties of Ladino use kuzina.
