Ledger Live provides access to Ledger wallet-management features through official Ledger software. Unlike a traditional online banking service, Ledger hardware wallets do not rely on a simple username-and-password login to access private keys.
Open the official Ledger wallet-management application.
Connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your computer or compatible device.
Unlock your Ledger device using your PIN when prompted.
Follow the application's instructions to access your accounts.
Review account balances and transaction activity.
Confirm sensitive operations directly on your Ledger hardware wallet.
Depending on the software version and configuration, the application may have local security controls, but your wallet's private keys remain protected by the Ledger hardware device. Accessing the application should not be confused with revealing your recovery phrase.
Never share your recovery phrase or PIN.
Never enter your recovery phrase into a website or online form.
Download Ledger software only from official Ledger sources.
Be cautious of fake “Ledger Live login” pages and unsolicited support messages.
Verify transaction details and recipient addresses on your Ledger device before approving them.
If Ledger Live does not recognize your device, check the USB connection, make sure the official software is updated, and reconnect the Ledger hardware wallet. Follow official Ledger support guidance if the problem continues.
Remember: A legitimate Ledger support representative should never ask you for your recovery phrase or PIN. Keep these credentials private at all times.
