Lach Orthodontic Specialists (Lake Nona - Orlando Office) is central Florida's (5-Star A+ Rated Top 1%) Orthodontist provider of braces and clear aligners for the last 30 years with 20,000+ new smiles.
When you visit our Lake Nona or Oviedo office for the first time, you will be given a warm welcome to our patient family. We will then give you a brief tour of the office, and answer any questions you may have.
Next, you will meet with Dr. Lach for a full smile exam, including digital images (no radiation) and digital x-rays (low radiation) of your teeth and jaws. This will help him plan your custom treatment program.
Then, you will have time to discuss your proposed treatment plan, custom quote, and flexible payment options. There is no-obligation to proceed with treatment, but if you are excited to begin, we can get you started right away!
We believe your experience with Lach Orthodontic Specialists should be a fun and enjoyable one that brings a smile to your face. We want to make a difference in your day by offering you a warm and friendly environment - and a beautiful new smile that lasts a lifetime.
Dr. Lach is a talented artist when it comes to shaping smiles. He combines his scientific background and 30 years of orthodontic experience with his artistic talents to provide you with a smile that sets you apart from the rest.
We know that a straighter teeth do not always mean a more beautiful smile - we aim to enhance your entire appearance by balancing facial features such as profiles, lip contours, smile width, and gum lines as well as beautifully aligning your teeth.
We are highly skilled and trained professional team that is fully committed to providing you with the most exceptional care possible. We welcome your feedback and comments so that we can continue to provide the best service and results for our patients.
Traditional braces work using a system of brackets affixed to the teeth, a metal archwire running through them, and small elastics called ligatures holding everything together.
At our office, we offer both metal and clear options for traditional braces. Metal brackets are made from durable stainless steel, while clear brackets are made from tooth-colored ceramic that helps them blend in with your natural smile.
When you come in for adjustment appointments during treatment, Dr. Lach will make targeted bends in your archwires to apply gentle pressure to your teeth. This pressure will slowly guide your teeth into proper alignment.

No one wants to go through orthodontic treatment longer than they have to. That’s why we offer accelerated treatment options, like the Propel VPro5® and 6 Month Smiles plan, so you can transform your smile in a fraction of the time of traditional orthodontics.
The Propel VPro5® is a revolutionary hands-free device that can be used practically anywhere. It can reduce your treatment time by as much as 50% - and takes only 5 minutes out of your day.
Just pop the VPro5® device in your mouth, and carry on with whatever you are doing. The device has LED lights that let you know when treatment is finished and when it needs to be recharged. All you need to do is rinse it with water after every use, and you are good to go.
The Propel VPro5® uses micropulse therapy to speed up tooth movement. This is a safe, high-frequency vibration that increases blood flow around the treatment area to jump start your body’s healing process.
Scientific studies have shown that the micro-pulses delivered by the Propel VPro5® can help bone transform more quickly, and promote better seating of aligners - leading to shorter treatment times.
If you want to straighten your smile with the ultimate comfort and convenience, look no further than LachAlign at Home. This custom treatment helps you easily fit a straight smile into your schedule - and your budget. The best thing? Your treatment is closely monitored by our very own Dr. Lach!
LachAlign at Home is our very own in-house aligner treatment at Lach Orthodontic Specialists. It uses leading-edge technology, and the aligners are made from a material so transparent that no one needs to know you are straightening your smile.
LachAligners are custom-made for your precise smile goals using our cutting-edge 3D lythos scanner. We plan out your treatment from start to finish using computer imaging, so we know exactly what to expect from your treatment before we begin.
A dentist is similar to your family doctor — great for check-ups and filling cavities. An orthodontist is a specialist who has two to three years of additional education, and is an expert in straightening your teeth and choosing the treatment option that’s best for you.
With LachAlign at Home, you can enjoy virtual check-ins through the LachAlign cell phone app. This means you won’t need to commute to our office as often during treatment. All you need to do is send us a smile selfie!
In fact, we will even deliver your new sets of aligners straight to your house. That means unless we need to adjust your treatment plan, you can complete your treatment on the go at your own convenience.
We even offer a night-time only treatment option, which you can ask us for details about during your free consultation.
We also offer competitive pricing with no long-term contracts, and accept most forms of insurance. With a lifetime smile guarantee through our Retainers For Life® program, you know your smile is a safe investment with us.
From a very young age, as our teeth first begin to show up we learn about dental health from our parents. However, as we progress through our adult life many of us fail to maintain those good dental health practices we are taught when we are young. We tend to brush for shorter periods of time because we are in a hurry or forget the proper technique. Some of us will cut flossing our teeth from our daily routines while others will stop visiting their dentist and/or orthodontist all together. Once we have our braces removed it’s important that we remember to stay mindful of the dental care practices that help us stay cavity and gum disease free.
Here are some things to consider once your braces are removed to ensure you maintain that smile:
It is generally advised that you use a toothbrush with softer bristles so as to protect your gums. Some people, however, prefer power brush systems that help break up plaque and bacteria in your mouth. But it takes more than brushing to keep your teeth in good health. Some other steps need to be taken to ensure that people do not lose their teeth as they become old.
Finally, once your braces are removed it is very important that stick with the retention plan set up with your orthodontist and do not miss any of your appointments. Our goal at Lach Orthodontist Specialists is to help you maintain that beautiful smile!
