When I create clothes, I first start by curating the types of clothing I think will work best for the specific project that I'm doing. I like to go to my locak thrift stores to try and limit the amount of waste I am creating.
When I'm thrifting for certain fabrics and clothing items, I get inspired while I thrift, alsmost thinking on the go. Not meaning I don't put a lot of thought into my designs haha, just that my creativity better spurs in the moment!
Well, I started sewing when I was in third grade, and I do still in fact use the same sewing machine that I did back in elementary school. I attended sewing camp every summer, creating aprons for my mom, and other little bobbles I was being taught.
As of right now I still don't really know what I'm doing, but I really like sewing and creating things people only thought was possible in their mind. So that's enough for me.
When I create pieces, every single one is different, meaning every single one is curated with different fabrics, different threads, different designs, and most of all, they each take a different amount of time and labor to create. So, when you're thinking to yourself that a piece might be on the expensive side, just also take into account the amount of pinning, ironing, mapping out, and cutting fabrics that went into it, and I thank you for that!
Thank you so much for reading some fun facts about me and I hope it helps if you had any questions!
If you STILL have questions, no worries! My instagram and facebook are linked at the bottom of my website!
Have a funky fun day! 😉
