The laboratory, affiliated with CEFET/RJ, has the overall objective of developing basic and advanced research in the areas of robotics, process automation, applied electronic instrumentation, and computer vision. Its current infrastructure covers approximately 90 m2 and supports the academic activities of the Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering (PPEEL) and the Graduate Program in Instrumentation and Applied Optics (PPGIO). It also supports the Scientific Initiation activities of CEFET/RJ's undergraduate Engineering programs.
Used in control systems, such as computers or robots, to control and operate industrial processes, such as factory production, energy systems monitoring, quality control, among others. The goal is to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety.
Involves the use of electronic devices to measure, monitor, and control physical processes. This can include sensors, transducers, measuring instruments, and data acquisition systems for various applications, such as industrial automation, process control, and scientific research.
It is a set of components that work together to manage, regulate, and command the behavior of a dynamic system. Control systems can be found in a wide range of applications, from temperature control in an oven to trajectory control in an autonomous vehicle.
It is an interdisciplinary field that involves the design, construction, operation, and use of robots. Robots are programmable devices that can be used to perform a variety of tasks autonomously or remotely controlled. They are commonly used in manufacturing, industrial automation, space exploration, medicine, among others.
These are systems that incorporate artificial intelligence and machine learning to perform tasks autonomously, adaptively, and efficiently. These systems may include learning algorithms, artificial neural networks, fuzzy logic, and other techniques to process data and make real-time decisions. They are applied in a variety of fields, such as pattern recognition, medical diagnostics, recommendation systems, and autonomous vehicles.
