October 30, 2024: The site on Tunk Point, where 90+ years ago, where the Froelicher brothers had a boys camp with flat area for pitching tents and a tennis court , providing a large flat space with minimal number of trees. Spruce and hemlock needles make a good cushion over the sandy mix of the soil. Recently, a campsite along the Fox Hill Trail offers a place to reflect.
February, March & April 2025. Area cleared of brush, lower branches of trees trimmed, wood chips cover area within measured 36' diameter; lines to mark the circular path were painted. On April 26, 2025, 16 volunteers laid 1200 stones to mark the path.
July 3, 2025 we accepted the gift of 4 beautiful cherry benches made by Jim Apgar, inviting us to sit, reflect, enjoy the beauty of the space.
