Laboratory of Separation Materials and Processes

Laboratory of Separation Materials and Processes (LSMP) researches various separation technologies to address the escalating environmental issues and to facilitate the swift transition to a next-generation clean energy society. More specifically, we synthesize solid adsorbents and metallic composite membranes and design innovative separation processes using them, to carry out research on the development of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) and high-purity hydrogen production systems.

 Research Interests

 Separation Materials|

Solid adsorbents  (metal oxides, zeolites, porous carbons)
Metallic membrane (FCC/BCC composite membrane)

 Separation Processes|

Sorption-enhanced reaction for high-purity H2 production
Reactive-separation process for CO2 utilization
Optimization of adsorption column layering and sequences
