Euphoria (Original Score from the HBO Series) is a soundtrack by British musician Labrinth, containing the score for the first season of the HBO teen drama Euphoria. It was released digitally by Sony Masterworks and Milan Records on 4 October 2019, with vinyl copies following on 10 January 2020. It is Labrinth's first full-length solo release since 2012's Electronic Earth. The album peaked at number 79 on the Billboard 200, the artist's first entry on the chart, and entered the top 50 in several countries including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, and Sweden.

Album track "Still Don't Know My Name" became a sleeper hit in 2020, eventually peaking at number 52 in Labrinth's native UK and becoming certified Platinum in the United States, his first solo certification in the country.[1][2] "Formula", "Forever", "When I R.I.P.", and "Mount Everest", also charted in various countries, with the later song also appearing on Imagination & the Misfit Kid and his second Euphoria score album.

Of the album, Labrinth says, "My experience with Euphoria has made me a better musician. It was a dream come true to give wings and add magic to the different storylines. It was a collaborative effort among Sam Levinson, the crew and the cast - I only added texture to an already phenomenal show. I hope that anyone who listens to the music embraces feeling something."

Labrinth has had a busy couple of years, scoring his first TV series with HBO's Euphoria, releasing an album with his new supertrio, LSD (with Sia and Diplo), and co-writing the Beyonc song "Spirit" as part of Disney's recent Lion King movie. This wide array of projects is nothing new for the London-based singer-songwriter-producer, whose music spans electronic, hip-hop, R&B, gospel, and jungle, among other sounds. Labrinth attributes this genre-mashing to the influence of his childhood home - an "unofficial music school," as he puts it, where his eight siblings each came in listening to a giant grab bag of artists. "I'm this 12-year-old kid being a sponge to all of these energies," he says. "It's like a bag of Skittles when I'm creating music." His style got the attention of Sam Levinson, creator of Euphoria - which paved the way for Labrinth's opportunity to score the show. His soundtrack, due out in album form this Friday, hums with soft electricity, perfectly complementing the journey of the main character, Rue, a teenager caught in limbo between the euphoria of a drug high and the harsh consequences of addiction. "When you look back to your teenage days," he says, "it feels semi-magical but semi-crazy and semi-psychotic. I wanted to make sure the music felt like those things."

On her debut album, Compliments Please, the deluge of feelings and emotions is palpable, a testament to her expansive need to create and its limitless scope. Self Esteem describes the process as indulging the ability to finally do as she always wanted, to stop being underrated, and build tools to better express herself. It plays like a voice lost, unheard, finally getting to speak words left unsaid for years, speaking with a fast and relentless fervor that is all the more noticeable when contrasted to her sophomore album Prioritize Pleasure. 006ab0faaa
