The Venue
The WG1 meeting will take place at Hotel Panorama in Štrbské Pleso, which is part of the municipal lands of the village of Štrba. The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the Tatra Electric Railway (TEŽ) and rack railway (Zubačka) station.
The hotel offers broadband internet access via WiFi. The lecture hall is fully equipped with data and overhead projectors, as well as high-speed internet access.
Slovakia is located in Central Europe and has three major airports: Bratislava, Košice, and Poprad. Additionally, there are other conveniently located airports nearby, including Vienna International Airport (60 km from Bratislava) and Kraków-Balice Airport.

The venue for the WG1 meeting is the Hotel Panorama, where a block booking for participants has been made. The hotel offers a special package for participants who book early (deadline for booking to be determined):
Single occupancy in a double room: 146 EUR per night (+ tourist tax 3 EUR/night)
Double occupancy in a double room: 207 EUR per person per night (+ tourist tax 3 EUR/night)
The package Includes:

The booking procedure will be made available once registration is open.
For participants staying elsewhere: lunch and dinner are available on-site for 24 EUR and 27 EUR per person. Please indicate if you indeed to stay elsewhere during registration so that we can contact you to sort out payment.

Arriving in Slovakia by air
If you're flying into Slovakia, the nearest international airports are:
Poprad-Tatry Airport (TAT) – 25 km from Štrbské Pleso.
Train: take the Tatra Electric Railway (TEŽ) to Štrbské Pleso (~ 1 hour, 2 EUR)
Taxi: The fastest, but costly option (30 minutes, prices vary).
Košice Airport (KSC) – 150 km away.
Take a train from Košice to Poprad-Tatry (1.5 hours).
From Poprad-Tatry, take the Tatra Electric Railway (TEŽ) to Štrbské Pleso (~ 1 hour, 2 EUR).
Bratislava Airport (BTS) – 320 km away.
Take a train from Bratislava hlavná stanica (Main train station) to Štrba or Poprad-Tatry (~ 4 hours).
From Štrba, take the rack railway (Zubačka) to Štrbské Pleso (~15 minutes), or from Poprad-Tatry, take the Tatra Electric Railway (TEŽ) to Štrbské Pleso (~ 1 hour, 2 EUR)
