5x7 canvas
Brown/Black Markers
Scissors
Construction or Other Paper
Glue Stick
Glue (white or stronger)
Leaf and/or Flower Sequins/Gems/etc
Draw and color a tree trunk with branches that fills most of the canvas. Use Brown/Black Markers or you could cut out a trunk using paper and glue it to the canvas. During WITness Success, templates to trace are available.
2. Using the Construction or other Paper, cut out leaf shapes of various sizes/colors to go on your tree. I like to use between 9 and 18 leaves and keep the shape simple.
3. Add single words or 2-word phrases on the leaves to express things you are grateful for. You can include Names of family or friends, activities you enjoy, objects you love/like, places you appreciate, etc. You don't have to put words on all the leaves but you want to do this before you glue them onto the canvas.
4. Glue the leaves to your canvas. Use a glue stick first and if any don't stick, switch to a stronger glue. Place them on the tree and remember some could be places as if they are falling or have fallen too.
5. Finally, embellish your tree by gluing on leaf sequins/gems/beads. You can also add flowers or other items (glued or drawn).
Don't forget to put your name (either on your canvas front or the back). Share your gratitude tree on Social Media with the tag #craftforce.
