About Labrador Rescuers

WHO WE ARE....

Labrador Rescuers is a non-profit organization in San Diego County that is committed to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing Labradors and Labrador mixes. The overall goal of Labrador Rescuers is to provide a safe and loving home for every Labrador in need and to specifically assist those dogs that other rescue organizations are unable to help.

Since its inception in 2004, Labrador Rescuers has saved over 4,400 Labradors. In addition to saving young and healthy Labradors, Labrador Rescuers also rescues senior, injured and pregnant Labradors and Labrador Mixes. Without Labrador Rescuers, these loving and loyal Labradors would be euthanized. After providing each dog with needed medical care and training, Labrador Rescuers places them into loving and caring homes where they may play and lay their heads in dignity for the rest of their lives.

While enriching the lives of their adoptive families, the dogs rescued by Labrador Rescuers also touch the lives of many others through their work as therapy dogs, canine good citizens and work with law enforcement. Whether young and playful or old and loving, the lives of these dogs have value and they make a positive impact on our society.
