Unless you played many years ago you may not have ever heard the original theme song for League. (Listen to it here). While this version wasn't as widely known, the arrangement they used for Ranked Champion Select (listen) will definitely sound familiar any LoL veterans.

It was pretty common for Riot to use the theme as a musical motif (especially this part of the song). They even used it for some of their promotional videos for the game as it was launching (watch). Here's a list of some other places they referenced it:

It's pretty damn catchy and it plays at the end of this clip from the history channel. It sounds very similar to the theme song of the show "The League" or would maybe be something by the fratellis, not sure. Anyone have any ideas? Can't seem to find it anywhere!

Justice League's opening credits song was one of the additions that Joss Whedon made to the film, according to Whedon himself. Whedon received co-screeenwriting credit for his efforts on the movie, which he oversaw the reshoots for after director Zack Snyder stepped away from the project.

Responding to The New Yorker's Emily Nussbaum, who put some of the lyrics of the song up on her own Twitter account, Whedon claimed that he "stuck" the song into Justice League (see the Twitter exchange included below). However, the specific use of music in Justice League was one of the brand-new elements of the movie and universe. On the other hand, the opening montage and its song choice felt appropriate in Justice League, especially since the movie aimed to move from the darker tone of Snyder's world to a more hopeful and optimistic world. Still, it would be hard to argue with any fan who felt that the use of "Everybody Knows", and the film's music choices overall, weren't somewhat jarring when compared to what had come in the franchise before.

It's no wonder that many fans have these tunes on a continuous loop. In exciting news, Riot Games has dropped the latest announcement regarding the theme song for the upcoming Worlds 2023 event, set to take place in October.

One of the most popular bands globally is NewJeans, a South Korean girl group that made quite an impact in under half a year. Their songs OMG and Ditto topped the charts on the Billboard Hot 100, causing quite a stir. Additionally, they received recognition from the Guinness Book of World Records, as they became the fastest K-pop band to generate a billion Spotify streams.

The theme song, titled 'GODS', features the artist NewJeans, a global sensation, as the lead artist. NewJeans delivers powerful vocals, infusing the unique essence of the LoL World Championship into 'GODS.' The song was orchestrated by Riot Games' Senior Composer Sebastien Najand and Alex Seaver, known for his work on several previous World Championship theme songs, including 'Legends Never Die.
