Booking

Enquiries can be made via e-mail or WhatsApp

A booking is confirmed once your deposit has been received and a confirmation e-mail has been sent.

Booking forms must be completed and returned within 24 hours.

The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before arrival.

Check in & Check out

Check-in: From 4:00 pm

Check out: By 10:00am

This allows us enough time to prepare La Garanterie for our next guests.

Prices

Prices are per night for the house and are inclusive of electricity, gas and water. 

Winter fire wood and wood pellets will be charged per bag, after the first complimentary bag. The price will be exactly the same as the retail price paid.

Bed linen and towels are included for use inside the house only. 

Pool towels are included.

Deposit

A security deposit of  €250  must be paid by bank transfer within 24 hours of the requested booking directly with us. This amount will be deducted from the final payment.

We cannot save the dates if the deposit is not received. This is not applicable when using a host site. 

BACS details for payment will be shared via email when the dates and terms have been agreed with us. 

We can only issue a full refund if a cancellation is made at least 21 days prior to the due arrival date. 

If the security deposit is not received within 24 hours of booking we reserve the right to cancel the booking and re advertise the dates.

Cancellation

It is recommended that you take out insurance to protect the risk of cancellation from the time of booking and for any medical, accidental and baggage cover whilst abroad. Should the house be unavailable on the day stated, due to extreme unforeseen circumstances, every attempt will be made to relocate guests. If this is not possible, all rent monies will be refunded without question but no further liability will fall upon the owners. 

Arrival and your responsibilities

Please do not arrive earlier than the official booking in time of 4pm, unless organised at the point of booking. Kindly leave the house no later than 10am on departure day. 

Please do not bring extra guests. We reserve the right to cancel your booking should you arrive with more people than agreed on the booking form. Hosting visitors during the day and additional overnight visitors or are not allowed due to strict insurance rules.

Please do not arrive with pets unless agreed to. We reserve the right to refuse your booking on the day should this happen. 

House Manual

The house manual sets out all the information you need to enjoy your stay. This will be sent to you separately and can be found as a hard copy in the gite. 

Wood burning stove and pellet burner during winter

Please take time to read the operating manual as we have external flues, hence it is of the upmost importance to prepare them and operate them effectively in order to remain safe. 

Please only use the firewood supplied for the log burner. 

Please do not use anything in the Pellet burner apart from the pellets supplied. Do not put fire wood in. 

A demonstration and assistance are always available.

Fire Safety

Please read the fire safety notice in order to keep our environment and yourselves safe. 

Water restrictions

We will make you aware if we have water restrictions as soon as possible.

Please read our Saving Water request and respect the environmental challenges at the time of your stay.

Smoking

You are welcome to smoke outside of the property but please refrain when indoors. 

Please smoke on the paved and gravelled areas outside and use an ashtray. 

Never smoke in the field or gardens due to fire risk.

Please ensure all cigarettes are completely extinguished before disposal in the ashtray (some water in the base helps). 

If the house needs to be deep cleaned and there is additional laundry costs due to the smell of smoking in the house a minimum charge of  €150  will be levied. 

Barbecue

Please use the BBQ where it is on the gravelled area. 

Please use the firelighters provided. Do not use lighting fluid.

Please close the BBQ lid once finished. Please do not clean out the coals until the following day when they are cold. Do not empty them onto the field or grass. Please use the black ‘fire’ bucket for the ash. 

If there is a coal BBQ ban in place we can provide a gas BBQ.

Complaints & breakages

In the event of a complaint please bring it to our attention immediately so that remedial action, where necessary, can be taken without delay. We will do everything possible to deal with any difficulties both quickly and effectively. 

We retain the right to enter the house at any reasonable time to deal with any complaints and to carry out any repairs deemed necessary to the property or equipment. 

Any complaint after departure must be in writing within 7 days of your departure. 

Gardens, pool and surrounding land

You have an above ground pool and private garden. The pool safety information and requirements will accompany the house manual. It is a legal requirement to sign and date the Pool sheet to confirm you have understood. Please monitor children as you would in a public space as we cannot accept liability for any accidents. 

The garden is secure with fencing but we must remind you that we are in rural France and surrounding fields have electric fences around them for livestock. Please ensure children know not to touch any of the fences to be on the safe side. They are mains powered.

Please be respectful of our neighbours, environment and livestock. 

Advert & accuracy

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that all advertising material is accurate at the time of publication, we cannot be held responsible for changes or matters outside our control. We are constantly updating the property and renewing bedding and furniture so there may be small changes to furnishings seen in photographs! 

All information is given in good faith but no warranties are made regarding information provided, either written or oral.
