You will choose 15 of the sound effects from the list as a group
You will discuss as a group which 15 you will be recording.
You will divide your chosen sounds within the group [Research Only]
You will research and/or produce ideas for recording your set sounds.
You’ll discuss your research and ideas to each other within the group, gaining feedback.
Document your research and ideas on your blog.
As a group, have a set plan for each 15 sounds to record next week.
You will go out as a group to record your 15 sounds
You'll be given a timeslot in ND145 but you will also be allowed/encouraged to find sounds in other places
You must take care of equipment and be careful during this task (It’s college equipment or my own, booked out by me)
Make note of what sounds you recorded in order, to help you label your sounds later on.
Once completed, hand the SD card into Kayleigh, who will upload the sounds for each group and send them to you.
Your group will need to listen through and label each sound.
Once the sounds are labelled, they need to be sent via Teams to myself and your group members
I will be consolidating all students sounds into a Foley library for you all to access of Teams.
You will need to discuss the foley creation process on your websites.
You will be choosing 5 sounds your group created and you will be editing them in Adobe Audition to be the best quality they can be.
Take screenshot evidence of the editing process and discuss the changes and improvements you've made on your website.
Make sure to embed your final versions of the 5 sounds onto your website.
Things to consider -
You’ll want to open a sound on it’s own in Adobe Audition in it’s wav form.
Listen to the track as is first, and consider what elements you think need to change or be improved.
I will go over the power of certain effects to help you achieve the sound you’re looking for.
You need to reflect on the experience of these foley tasks on your website, discussing the experience in detail.
Ask yourself the following questions to aid your write up -
What went well?
What did not go well?
What have you learned from the experience?
Were you to do it again, would you do anything differently and if so, what?
What will you take from this experience to apply to future projects?
Are you happy with your final sounds?
