Time Management
Time Management Means Taking Control of Your Life!
The first step in taking control of your time is to see where your time goes.
Between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., what are you doing that takes the most amount of time everyday?
What are the things that you must do every day? (Eating, sleeping, etc…)
What are the two things you are doing every day that wastes the most time?
When you postpone studying and doing school work, with what do you usually replace that time?
Why do you avoid or postpone school work? (Be honest!)
TIME PLANNING
One strategy is to use a planner/online calendar to manage your time. Book your activities in the following order:
1.
Fixed Commitments:

Ex: Appointments, meetings, classes, work
)
2.
Essential Activities:
(
Ex: Sleep, eat, medication, physical therapy)
3.
Time for errands
(
Ex: Laundry, household chores, grocery shopping, b
udgeting
)
4. Time to Study
5. Time for Fun
