Set in an alternate reality where right under the "A" of the Atlantic ocean, exists a fairly large island that hasn't been detected by the UN or any other faction. This is called solar Island, a place that seems like science fiction, the wild west and everything in between leaked out. First established in 1789, a small fleet of ships crash, full of those getting booted from England for being too creative and questioning the ideals and beliefs of the church thus were banished to what would become modern day Jamestown but a storm lushed them away from the main fleet and they met up with the Native tribes...the healers helped the new settlers under the condition that they use their technologies to help the people and not for self gain and so they created a town that would later become old town Randsberg, one of the first colonies on Solar island and due to there not being a scientific oppression, the island managed to thrive to the point where by the early 1800s, Cowboys and Indians already outmoded horses with steam powered horse bots. Skipping all the way to an unknown date in time in the modern day, we see Howard Miller, an MIT graduate who never truly put himself out there... living in the scalding heat of Ridgecrest California, eventually after finding a job for a robotics technician on Solar Island at a research and design factory known as...Cyclotronics
(Mock up of Howards house and car using my old Childhood home) (Digital Mock-up of Atomic Hills)
HVAC
(Helpful. Versatile. Automated. Camera system),
1964-1980
this line of security bots has paved the way for Cyclotronics' niche in affordable yet reliable robotics, featuring a SJ-52 ion blaster, a pair of propellor ray lights and a central Modulator/star drive neutralizer ray.
Fun fact: HVAC wasn't originally made by Cyclotronics, legend says that these bots used to be part of a previous defunct company during a leverage buyout sometime in 52'-63', talk about a being Ole' Reliable!
IEA
(Intelligent.External.Automaton)
1999-2000-present
This class of domestic robot is one of the most popular products of Cyclotronics, coming in a range of 40 different colors and featuring a toggleable Personality mode, and can lift a whopping 210 pounds with her patented Tolomatic arm hydraulics this helpful bot can be your for $14,000 (For the domestic model) and $12,000 for office/standard units!
Fun fact: IEA can speak in over 7,100 languages!, even dead ones! talk about being a dead ringer!
PA-7
(Patrolling Automaton MK.7)
1999-2019
. His red eyes may look scary but that's simply the result of the dye in his Baron-epoxy lenses. this model of bot was essentially the new and improved HVAC, a bigger and stronger leg and arm hydraulic system that can extend from it's default height of 6'2 to 7'3! and kitted out with MP5's and smoke screen generators along with an optional freon discharge ray, these big blue boys can easily protect high value assets and are great at scaring off criminals!
Fun fact: PA-7 units have what's known as a "Daisy protocol" where during blackouts and knowing how much humans don't like machines singing, he'll purposfully sing the song Daisy Bell off-tune, sounds like a real freak show!
HEME
(Healing, Emergency, Medical, Evaluator)
???-present
. It's not exactly known when the HEME line of robots were built, however they proved popular enough to be used in large numbers across the nation, fitted with a modular arm system, some units can have 4 arms, while others can be fitted with 8... each unit comes with three independent heads that can see in different ways, the left head see's in infrared, the center head see's like a normal bot, and the right head see's via X-ray pulses...looks like the doc-bot is in!
Fun fact: HEME's name derives from Ethylmalonic Encephalopathy (eme) and the H comes from Hemolymph, the blood equivelent for invertibrates and thus inspiriing the spider-like design for HEME and their name!
UA-5 Guard bot
1930-1953
Built by the Cybertonics engineering group, the UA-5 was originally going to be the first computerized military guard bot, however it has had severe crippling issues. standing at 8'6 this bot couldn't fit through most doors, it's Mono-treaded roller wheel making it extremely slow to turn and maintain, and due to everyone slowly moving over to Hard Disk Drives and thus it's storage capabilities were essentially useless, and the submachine gun just above the photoreceptor would jam due to the positioning of it on the bell/head of the robot. Only 5 units were ever properly sold and all are scrapped, with one under cosmetic restoration at the National Historical Society Museum
