The Pilgrim's Progress

Since I have read The Pilgrim’s Progress for the first time as a student, my situation in life seems to overlap with the scenes of that story at times.

There were times I felt like I was in' The Slough of Despond', while at times I felt like I was combatting with Apollyon, the fire-breathing dragon.

There were times of comfort feeling like I was on 'The Delectable Mountains', along with times of being beaten in 'the Castle of Giant Despair' due to my doubt.

But 'The Pilgrim's Progress' has been an encouraging and fascinating one which has been guided to green pastures and protected and led by rod and staff as David was in Psalm 23 and traveling unto 'The Gate of Celestial City' walking with Hope in the story. Today, I paint my story on my modest canvas, with New York as the background and my son as the model.

It is a beautiful story which can be applied to any age, any background, and any human’s life story.
