Hello and welcome!
I am a doctoral student in the School of Social Work at the University of Michigan, pursuing a joint PhD in Social Work and Sociology.
My research focuses on the impact of family dynamics on individual well-being. By examining the interplay between social identities and family structures, I seek to uncover the mechanisms linking family dynamics to health outcomes.
As a first-generation college student, I am also interested in making the often “hidden curriculum” of academia more visible and accessible. I welcome the opportunity to connect with prospective graduate students and am happy to chat over email or Zoom.
I earned my B.A. in Public Health and Sociology and my M.S. in Public Health Sciences from Korea University.
Areas of interest: Family, Life Course, Gender, Aging, Population Health
