Kyungbae Park
I am an assistant professor at Department of Mathematics in Kangwon National University.
Before joining KNU in Fall 2020, I served as a BK21 Research Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Seoul National University from September 2018 to August 2020. Prior to that, I was a research fellow at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) from September 2014 to August 2018. I earned my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Michigan State University under the guidance of Professors Ron Fintushel and Matthew Hedden, following the completion of my bachelor's degree at Seoul National University.
My research interests are in geometric topology, specifically low-dimensional topology.
Currently, my research is supported by National Research Foundation of Korea grant funded by the Korea government (No.2022R1F1A1071673).
