KYPROS-D tablets are indicated for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate. The tablets are not intended for use as an anti-hypertensive drug.

Dutasteride is not approved for the prevention of prostate cancer.

When your prostate gland becomes enlarged it can cause urinary problems such as difficulty passing urine and a need to go to the toilet frequently or urgently. It can also cause urine flow to be slower. If not treated, there is a risk that your urine flow will be completely blocked. Kypros D Tablet  is a combination of two medicines: dutasteride and tamsulosin. Dutasteride reduces the size of your prostate by blocking the production of a hormone which causes it to grow. Tamsulosin works by relaxing muscles in the bladder and prostate. Together they can rapidly relieve the symptoms and make it easier for you to urinate. However, it may take up to 6 months to notice the full benefit. Take this medicine exactly as prescribed for maximum benefits.

SIDE EFFECTS OF KYPROS D TABLET

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
