Kyoko Muraoka was born and raised in Japan.She learned photography and art history in Art colleges.During a college student, she started making hats by herself.And she was also making hats in pet dog, named Puku and took his(Puku's) hats' photos.
After graduation, she learned professional skills of hat making in Osaka,Tokyo,London and Paris.
Since that time, she has joined fashion show, art flea market and has held exhibition at the gallery,cafe and shop.And she has published Puku's hats' photobooks.Apart from that, she has made hats for musicians.
And she is still active.
村岡亨子。1972年4月5日生まれ。帽子作家。大阪芸術大学で写真を学ぶ。中退後、京都芸術短期大学で美術史を学ぶ。短大在学中に帽子制作に興味を持ち始め、プクの帽子を作り、その写真を撮るようになる。卒業後、大阪のA.co Hat Clubで帽子作りを学び、1995年大阪コレクションに参加したデザイナーAco Mazekiのコレクションに帽子参加をする。その後、ロンドンのKensington and Chelsea College、パリのATELIER Ｋへ帽子作りのため留学。帰国後、アートフリーマーケットへの参加や、ミュージシャンの帽子制作などで精力的に活動し、2004年にミニ写真集『Puku's Hat Collection』、ポストカード本『ぼうしいぬ』を出版する。そして、2014年にこのミニ写真集を電子書籍にして販売し、2015年にその続編『Puku’s Hat Collection Ⅱ』を出版する。
