Kyng Keyboard is made by Aionyxe. This policy explains what Kyng keeps, what it sends, and why.
The short version
- The keyboard never goes online. What you type never leaves your phone.
- You do not need an account to use the keyboard.
- If you open the optional Kyng Shop, some data is sent so the Shop can work and stay safe. More is kept only if you sign in.
- Kyng does not sell data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking.
What stays only on your phone
This is never sent to us:
- What you type.
- Words Kyng learns from your typing, and how you tap, used to improve corrections.
- Clipboard history, if you turn it on (your last ten copies, kept in memory only).
- Your settings, Styles, Themes, sounds and the looks you make.
- A photo you choose as a background.
- Key counts: how many keys you press on each Style, used for milestones. Kyng never saves which keys you press. Password and private fields are not counted.
Android backup
If Android backup is on, Android may save your settings and key counts to your own Google account, so they come back on a new phone. Learned words, your background photo and purchase data are left out of the backup. We cannot read your backup. You can turn backup off in your phone's settings.
Permissions
Kyng asks for two permissions of its own:
- Vibration, for key feedback.
- Notifications, for typing milestones. You can turn these off.
The app also has internet access, for Google Play purchases and the Shop. The keyboard itself never uses it.
Purchases
Google Play handles all payments. We never see your card or bank details. The app asks Google Play what you have bought, so your plan works. The app also checks with Google Play Integrity that it is a real copy from Google Play. That check is read on your phone and is not sent to us.
Extra languages download through Google Play.
The Kyng Shop
The Shop is optional and runs on Google Firebase.
When you open the Shop tab, even if you are not signed in, your phone sends:
- A Firebase installation ID (a random ID for this install of the app).
- A Google Play Integrity check, to keep fake copies of the app out of the Shop.
- Your IP address, which the server provider sees and uses to prevent abuse. It is not used to find your location.
If you sign in with Google to use the Shop, we also keep:
- Your email address, name and profile picture link, from Google sign-in.
- Your user ID and your Shop name.
- Your points and purchase history, including Google Play order numbers.
- The looks and sets you publish.
- Reports you send about a look or a Shop name, including any note you add.
We use this only to run the Shop: to show your looks, keep your points, pay creators and act on reports.
Storage and who can see it
Shop data is stored on Google Firebase and encrypted in transit. Other Shop users can see your published looks and your Shop name. They cannot see your email address.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Google Play and Google Firebase process data for us under their own terms: https://policies.google.com/privacy. We may share data if the law requires it.
Share links
Share links point to kyng.pages.dev. The look's code is in the part of the link after the # sign, which your browser does not send to the site. Cloudflare hosts the site and may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses.
How long we keep data
Shop data is kept while your Shop account exists.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling Kyng removes everything stored on your phone.
You can delete your Shop account:
- In the app: open the Shop tab, scroll to the end and tap Delete my Shop account.
- On the web: follow the steps at https://kyng.pages.dev/delete
- By email: write to aionyxe@gmail.com from the Google account you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my Kyng Shop account". We delete it within 30 days and reply when it is done.
What is deleted:
- Your points and your Shop name.
- The looks and sets you sell.
- The record of looks you got and plans you bought with points.
- The reports you sent.
- Your Shop sign-in, including your email, name and profile picture.
What is kept:
- Google Play's own records of what you paid for.
- Looks other people got from you stay theirs.
- The number of each Google Play order you made, with no link to you, so the same purchase cannot be used twice.
- Reports other people sent about your looks, so we can still act on them.
Children
Kyng is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. An account created by a child can be reported to us, and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. Before a major change takes effect, we will tell you in the app.
