Kentuckians Against Kratom (KAK) was founded in 2024 by a mother and son who experienced the first-hand effects of kratom addiction in a close family member. After hearing the stories of other people in the community, KAK was founded to spread awareness and advocate for the ban of kratom in Kentucky.

To protect the health and safety of Kentuckians by advocating for the ban of Mitragyna speciosa, also known as kratom, and raising awareness about its risks
