OUR STORY

It all began in 2023, when Lolita Khalvashi and Tala Sakran sat brainstorming about what club to start. Their lively arguments led to the birth of... *drum roll, please* DEBATE CLUB! We wanted this club to be a place for students to connect and debate with each other on compelling medical topics each week. The fun, energetic environment led to many great discussions and a significant growth in membership. Though Lolita has since retired from her role as Co- President, she has contributed greatly to the foundations of this club. In 2024, Andrea Kunder joined as the first Communications Executive, boosting our social media presence. This year, our dynamic team includes Tala Sakran, Andrea Kunder, Ahmed Faiz, Shruthi Bhagavatula and Daniel Thomson. This year, we've got big plans, bold topics, and a whole lot of exciting things lined up.
