Biography

Dr. Kwanho Kim is a Professor of Economics at Chungbuk National University (CBNU) where he has held an appointment since 2013. Prior to joining CBNU, he was a professor of Finance and founding Head of the School of Technology Management at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). He has also worked at investment banks in New York including Credit Suisse and Bank of America, and was a head of financial engineering research at LOR/GB Associates Inc. His work involved the liquidity risk in asset prices, valuation and model validation of complex financial derivatives, and development of risk management and measurement methodologies. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at California State University.

Dr. Kim received his Ph.D. in Finance from Anderson School of Management at University of California, Los Angeles. He holds Master's degree in Finance from University of Illinois and another Master’s degree in Economics from University of California. His current research is focused on liquidity effect in derivative prices, financial risk management & analysis, financial engineering, valuation of complex financial assets, and empirical asset pricing.
