Background
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, where I work with Professor Hongzhe Li.
I received my Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May 2025, where I was advised by Professor Sündüz Keleş and collaborated with Professor Hyunseung Kang. Before joining UW-Madison, I earned my B.A. in Economics and Applied Statistics and my master's degree in Applied Statistics at Yonsei University, and I studied Economics as an exchange student at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
My research is motivated by scientific questions centered on decoding how genes are regulated by their regulatory elements and how cellular contexts shape this regulation. Building on these insights, my ultimate goal is to empower the translation of molecular-scale discoveries into clinical utility by developing statistical methods at the intersection of dimension reduction, causal inference, and modern AI/ML. For more details, please see my Research page.
