Kwabena is an Environmental Geographer specializing in the dynamics of climate-agroecosystem interactions, climate variability and change, smallholder farmers, climate adaptation, and food security. Kwabena has published in high-impact environmental science journals and served as a reviewer for collections from Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, Elsevier, and Frontiers.
He has secured research funding from the Australian Government through its Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship, the Edna Bailey Sussman Fund, and the Albert, Norma, and Howard Geller ’77 Endowed Research Award. As part of an NSF-funded research initiative, he worked with a team of researchers in Central Mexico to understand climate change impacts on agriculture. His research has been featured on prestigious platforms such as the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Annual Meeting.
He recently concluded his term as President of the Graduate Student Council at Clark University, where he led initiatives to advance academic engagement, leadership, and professional development among graduate students.
