K.V. Gently, known online as hee-blee-art / heebleeart and by many other names across time and place, is a writer-artist based in Ontario, Canada. Their body of work is a many-limbed patchwork that includes fiction, comics, illustration, poetry, video games, zines, audio, and multimedia experiments.
Their work digs its fingers into horror, fantasy, romance, and experimental multi-genre, often coming back with dreams, queerness, grief, whimsy, sexuality, the uncanny, and the monstrous under the nails. For Gently, heart, humour, and horror are the holy trinity of humanity and are so fond of each other that they often blur together.
Gently has been published in Art + Type magazine, PULSE Literary Journal, and in Fear & Trembling Vol. 1; has published collaborative e-zines such as Heartfelt and Kitchen Sink; and runs the Dustrabbit magazine, zine archive, & website. They are a graduate of OCAD University with a BFA of Creative Writing and a minor in Gender & Sexuality studies.
In 2025, Gently is working on several story-based projects, including a horror-fantasy novella (Circles in the Soil), a faux radio variety show (101.1 DUST), and much more. You can keep up to date with their endeavours through their social media & other links, found here.
