Welcome to our class! Ms. Vaks and Ms. Boguski are proud 4th grade special education teachers at Osage Elementary School. Last year, Ms. Vaks taught 4th grade at Signal Hill Elementary School and prevoisouly 3rd grade for five years. She graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Music Performance.

The focus in our classroom is student driven learning with an emphasis on hands-on activities and higher order thinking. We love to move around the classroom and have flexible seating options for the students while learning throughout the day. We try to find books or articles that are relevant to the students in order to foster intrinsic motivation and stimulate the passion to learn. Within our classroom, we strive to develop the child as a whole instead of focusing solely on academics.
