Denise And the Dinosaurs

Along the ancient rivers roamed tons and tons of dinosaurs, ranging from big ones, little ones, young ones, and the very old ones. They all had one goal and it was to win over Denise. Denise was the queen of the ancient rivers, and was one that everyone drooled over. She was a very pretty Bellusaurus with dark green eyes and a beautiful smile, and was liked by everyone. Denise, on the other hand, struggled to find her king because of her high standards, so she made it a competition.

"Alright, everyone, listen up. In order for me to find my king, there is one thing I need everyone to do," yelled Denise.

"Do you see that Smilodon walking around on the other side of the river? Whoever is brave enough, and strong enough to kill him will win over my heart!" commanded Denise.

This caught the attention of almost every dinosaur roaming around the river because this was their chance to impress Denise, and finally have that shot they had been dreaming of. This was the day Denise had dreamed about for many years, and was an event that would go on until her prince could kill the Smilodon, a saber-toothed tiger. Many of the dinosaurs started immediately after her command, but were too scared that the Smilodon would tear them to pieces. As Denise looked on, she suddenly became sad that there was no one that could meet the standards she had hoped for. The Smilodon was on top of a hill across a river, waiting for a dinosaur to approach him. As the Smilodon looked on at the remaining dinosaurs, he chuckled and said, "What wimps."

"All I want is for someone to impress me!" Denise murmured to her parents. "I've been roaming across these ancient rivers for too long, and feel like this is the chance for me to finally meet my man."

As the day turned into night, many of the dinosaurs were still trying to get to the Smilodon, but many struggled reaching across the river, and some even got washed away in the current. It was sad to see Denise like this, knowing that no man was ever going to win her heart over. As the sun set, everyone heard this loud rawr from the other side of the river, and saw that the Smilodon had gone down. The Stegosaurus was able to tear the Smilodon to pieces, leaving nothing but a rotting carcass on the ground. The Smildon stood no chance with the Stegosaurus, and was the one that looked like a "wimp."

"THIS CAN'T BE TRUE. THIS CAN'T BE TRUE," said Denise with tons on joy.

As Denise was overwhelmed with emotion, the dinosaur that killed the Smilodon approached her.

"And you must be Denise," said the dinosaur boldly. "I've had my eye on you for a while."

"And who are you?" Denise said with a blushed face.

"I'm Jeffrey. I believe we should go now."

As the two dinosaurs went off into the night, they were both overwhelmed with emotion, and knew that this beautiful day was the start of something much more special. The beginning of their marriage.

Author's Note: This story is based off of the story Rama Wins Sita from Ramayana by Romesh Dutt. (1899). This story was about how many people wanted to win over Sita's heart, and Rama was the one to be able to bend the bow. I thought that story was very interesting, and I wanted to put my own twist on it. My story is similar to this one, but I changed the people to dinosaurs, and instead of the competition being about who can bend the bow, It was about which dinosaur would be brave enough to kill the Smilodon. I wanted to use animals instead of people to give the readers a different perspective, and found it to be interesting as well. I chose to use a dinosaur because many people are fascinated by dinosaurs, and think they are weird-looking creatures that used to roam the entire world millions of years ago. I also wanted the dinosaur to kill the Smilodon to show off the strength of dinosaurs. The end of the story is very similar to the story of Rama Wins Sita. At the end, Sita goes off with Rama, and is going to be the queen of his kingdom. In my story, Denise the dinosaur goes off with Jeffery to start their journey together.
