Grades 1-2

The gifted program identifies students starting in 3rd grade. We are offer an opportunity for 1st and 2nd grade high-achieving students to receive enrichment. Students can be recommended by their classroom teacher (this year or their previous year's teacher) for this program. The recommended students have the opportunity to participate in a curriculum that focuses on critical thinking, spatial reasoning, problem-solving skills, and creativity. They will meet once a week via a Zoom class with Mrs. Young to expand who we’re serving and meet the needs of this younger population in the Kuspuk School District!

Grades 3-8

Students in grades 3-8 also have the opportunity to participate in an enrichment group. Students who pass the gifted screener and score in the 115-124 range on their IQ test will have the opportunity to participate in a curriculum that focuses on critical thinking, spatial reasoning, problem-solving skills, and creativity. They will meet once a week via a Zoom class with Mrs. Young to expand who we’re serving and meet the needs of students in the Kuspuk School District!
