Mission Statement:
Based out of North Carolina & New York, At Kurama Collective, our mission is to create sacred, trauma-informed spaces for grief, recovery, and nervous system healing-rooted in ritual, community and care.
Through our flagship initiative, Janet's House, we provide compassionate recovery support that integrates sound healing, somatic movement, breathwork, and creative expression. We center the needs of those navigating through addiction, loss, burnout, and life transitions, especially those that have often been left out of traditional care systems.
We believe that healing is not linear, recovery is not one-size-fits-all, and no one should have to walk through pain alone.
We exist to hold space, to listen deeply, and to offer the life tools for people to come home to themselves- softly and sustainably.
Rooted in healing. Moving in purpose. Empowering communities. Improving equity.
The FAITH Method™
Foundations in Acceptance and Integrative Trauma-Informed Healing as practiced at Janet’s House.
F – Foundations
At Janet’s House, we begin with strong foundations: safety, trust, and compassion. We honor that healing isn’t linear and root our care in stable, affirming ground — creating a container where individuals feel seen, not judged.
A – Acceptance
We welcome all paths, all stories, and all identities. Acceptance here is radical — it is the heartbeat of Janet’s House. Whether you are in active recovery, sober-curious, or navigating grief, you are already enough.
I – Integrative
Healing is not one-size-fits-all. We blend somatic movement, sound healing, dance, breathwork, herbal care, art, and more — meeting the whole person, mind–body–spirit. Every modality complements another, woven into a personalized path to wholeness.
T – Trauma-Informed
Janet’s House is designed with care at every level. Our environment, practitioners, and offerings are built to honor nervous system safety, autonomy, and choice — recognizing how trauma lives in the body and how we gently support its release.
H – Healing
Not just recovery — healing. Real, sacred, embodied healing. We don’t rush it. We walk beside each person. Healing at Janet’s House is community-based, creative, and deeply personal. It is permission to begin again, as many times as needed.
The Kurama Collective was born from my belief that healing and justice are inseparable.
As a public health advocate, grief worker and sacred space holder, I founded Kurama Collective as a container for healing that honors grief, community, recovery and reclamation.
Janet's House, our flagship initiative was born from the deepest parts of my own journey- as a child of a mother who battled addiction, mental health challenges and lonliness for most of her life. After her passing, I chose to transform that pain into purpose. Janet's House exists so no one has to grieve, recover or rebuild alone.
Through sound healing, somatic care, ritual circles, and trauma-informed support, I hold space for those navigating loss, addiction, burnout, and life transitions. My work is rooted in the FAITH method- a healing framework I created to help others come home to themselves with gentleness, ceremony and community.
This is NOT just a business. It is a sacred offering. And you are always welcome here.
With love, purpose and solidarity,
