Interpersonal relationships are the social architecture of organizational life, yet people rarely navigate them with perfect clarity or consistency. My research examines:

• How individuals strategically manage relationships at work;

• What psychological and social forces, including emotions, mindsets, status hierarchies, and gender, shape how those relationships form, change, and constrain individual outcomes. 

Situated at the intersection of social network theory and organizational behavior, my work aims to illuminate not just the structure of people’s networks, but the agentic and affective processes that drive relational behavior in organizations.
