Kun Wang 王昆
Hello! I'm Kun, an Assistant Professor of Management at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
I obtained my PhD degree at the UCL School of Management, University College London. My research has been published in Academy of Management Journal and Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior.
Interpersonal relationships are the social architecture of organizational life, yet people rarely navigate them with perfect clarity or consistency. My research examines:
How individuals strategically manage relationships at work;
What psychological and social forces, including emotions, mindsets, status hierarchies, and gender, shape how those relationships form, change, and constrain individual outcomes.
Situated at the intersection of social network theory and organizational behavior, my work aims to illuminate not just the structure of people’s networks, but the agentic and affective processes that drive relational behavior in organizations.
