Kun-Hao obtained his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the National Central University in Taiwan, where he began his research in advanced concrete materials under the guidance of Prof. Chung-Chan Hung. Kun-Hao carried out his M.S. and Ph.D. studies in Prof. Qiming Wang's laboratory at the University of Southern California in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. During his doctoral research, he focused on the mechanics, synthesis, and additive manufacturing of bio-inspired materials. Kun-Hao then conducted his postdoctoral work with Prof. Shu Yang at the University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, focusing on additive manufacturing of novel carbon-absorbing concrete materials. In January 2025, he joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Syracuse University as an Assistant Professor.
