Awards

Received the prestigious IGS–Prof. Leonard’s Annual Award 2024 for the PhD thesis titled “Integrated Landslide Susceptibility Mapping and Early Warning Systems for Combined Landslide Hazards in Uttarakhand,” which was adjudged the best PhD thesis in Geotechnical Engineering. 

Received the 1st Prize – Reviewer of the Year 2024 (Non-EBM) award in recognition of contributions to the Indian Geotechnical Journal. The award was presented during the Valedictory Function of Indian Geotechnical Conference (IGC)-2025 on 20 December 2025, organized by the IGS–Jalandhar Chapter. 

Received the prestigious IGS-HEICO YGE Award 2024 for the paper titled “Probabilistic Physical Modelling and Prediction of Regional Seismic Landslide Hazard in Uttarakhand State (India)”, co-authored with Neelima Satyam and Vaasu Gupta, published in Landslides Journal (Springer Nature, 2023). The paper was adjudged the Best Paper on “Slope Stability and Landslides” by the Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS).

Received Young Scientist Award in Civil Engineering from the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology during the 39th Young Scientist Congress 2024 for my research paper titled, "Integrating Real-time Sensor Data for Improved Hydrogeotechnical Modelling in Landslide Early Warning in Western Himalaya".

Received the Short-term Collaborative Research Fellowship from IIT Indore to travel to the University of Florence, Italy to conduct part of my PhD research for three months.

Received the best theme paper award for my research article titled, "An integrated approach to co-seismic landslide hazard assessment by probabilistic modelling of parametrical uncertainties in modified Newmark's model" at 9th Indian Young Geotechnical Engineers Conference, Aurangabad. 

Received the prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF) for my PhD research.
